Winterfest Pontardawe with Father Christmas!
It sounds like there will be a lot of fun to be had at the “Winterfest” in Pontardawe, starting from tomorrow Friday 4th December 2009. Unfortunately, I know I can’t be there but if any of you manage to go and get any nice pictures you would like to share, please do send them in by using the contact form here: CONTACT (please just send a quick message and I will supply you with an email address to send the images to).
Depending on the amount I get, I will feature some of them in the gallery on the home page or even feature all of them!
Here’s a quick summary of all the goings on:
Fri 4th Dec:
- 2pm – 10pm Ice rink on the lower Herbert Street Car Park( £3)
- 4pm – 10pm Live music and entertainment outside Pontardawe Arts Centre
- Street stalls selling a variety of gifts, crafts and food.
- Rolling Zone youth bus. Children’s fairground miniwheel (£1).
- 6pm – Father Christmas Parade starts from Church Street to the Pontardawe Arts Centre for the Christmas Lights switch on at approx. 6.30pm.
Sat 5 Dec:
- 10am – 4pm Street stalls plus indoor craft stalls and Santa’s Grotto in the Pontardawe Arts Centre (£2).
- Live entertainment all day plus music in the Arts Centre Marquee until 10pm hosted by Pontardawe Acoustic Club and Valley Folk.
- Ice rink on lower Herbert Street Car Park (£3).
Sun 6 Dec:
- 10am – 4pm Ice rink on the lower Herbert Street Car Park (£3)
Susan and her husband Ian run various Internet Services including, website design and marketing as well as owning and running the Amman Valley Community & Business Directory. Sue loves dancing and anything computer orientated.
